Embark on an incredible adventure with Feel Everest Trek as we take you on the Everest Three Pass Trek, diving deep into the heart of the Everest region. This trek covers three of Nepal’s highest and toughest mountain passes: Renjo La Pass (5,465m), Cho La Pass (5,420m), and Kongma La Pass (5,535m/18,159ft).
Recognized as one of Nepal’s most difficult high-altitude treks, the Everest Three Pass Trek requires good fitness, endurance, and an adventurous spirit. You might face days lasting up to nine hours, tackling steep climbs and glacier crossings, all while experiencing some of the world’s most incredible landscapes.
Your journey both starts and ends in Lukla. You can choose between trekking clockwise or anti-clockwise, each offering its own challenges and stunning views. Feel Everest Trek will ensure you witness all the main attractions of the Khumbu region, like Everest Base Camp, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Monastery, and the breathtaking Gokyo Lakes.
Each mountain pass reveals a unique aspect of the Himalayas:
Beyond the three passes, you’ll trek to Kalapatthar, the best viewpoint for close views of Everest. You will also reach Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp. Feel Everest Trek makes sure you don’t miss any iconic landmark or hidden spot along the route.
Other highlights include visiting the tranquil Tengboche Monastery, the Khumbu region’s spiritual heart, and experiencing the magical Gokyo Lakes, the highest freshwater lake system in Nepal.

Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxed evening walk along the Dudh Koshi River. Overnight stay in Phakding.
After breakfast, leave the village of Phakding behind and begin trekking on a lesser-traveled trail, away from the typical Everest Base Camp route. The path leads you through traditional Sherpa villages, offering an authentic glimpse into local life and culture. As you continue, you will reach the serene village of Thame, home to the historic Thame Monastery. This monastery provides a peaceful setting to experience the rich Sherpa culture. Overnight stay in Thame.
After breakfast, follow the trail heading north of Thame, passing through small Sherpa settlements and yak pastures. The route offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and landscapes. Continue trekking towards Lungdeng village, where you will spend the night. Depending on availability, you will stay in a local teahouse or camp in a tent under the stars. Overnight stay in Lungdeng.
Today will be one of the most adventurous days of the trek. You’ll begin the challenging ascent towards Renjo La, where the altitude will start to feel more demanding as you make your way higher. Once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys—one of the most stunning sights of your journey. After soaking in the scenery, begin the descent toward Gokyo Lake, a serene and beautiful spot to rest for the night. Overnight stay at Gokyo Lake.
This morning, you will wake up early, well before dawn, for a hike up to Gokyo Ri to catch the mesmerizing sunrise. As the sun begins to rise, you’ll witness Everest and the surrounding peaks bathed in golden light—a moment that will surely be one of the most unforgettable of your entire journey. After enjoying the breathtaking views, you’ll return to your hotel for breakfast. Following that, continue your trek to Thaknak, where you’ll spend the night. Overnight stay in Thaknak.
Today, you’ll trek through the upper part of the glacier, enjoying stunning views of Kala Patthar and Pumori along the way. As you continue toward Gorakshep, you’ll be treated to spectacular views of Mt. Nuptse. Upon arrival in Gorakshep, enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Afterward, head towards Kalapatthar (5,545m/18,192ft) for one of the most iconic views in the Everest region. The sunset from the summit of Kalapatthar, with its golden light casting over the snow-capped peaks, is truly magical. After taking in the breathtaking scenery, descend back to Gorakshep for the night. Overnight stay in Gorakshep.
Today marks the pinnacle of your trek as you embark on the journey to Everest Base Camp. This is not just another day of trekking—it’s the realization of a dream. Reaching the base camp at over 5,000m (16,000ft) will be a life-changing experience, one that only a few have the privilege to achieve. Along the way, you will pass the iconic Khumbu Icefall, witnessing its massive ice formations up close. After soaking in the grandeur of Everest Base Camp, return to Lobuche to rest and reflect on the incredible journey. Overnight stay in Lobuche.
After breakfast, begin your trek towards Kongma La Base Camp, following the rugged trail over the Khumbu Glacier. The ascent is demanding, but the rewards are immense. Upon reaching Kongma La, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring views of the surrounding valleys and snow-capped peaks. From this vantage point, the beauty of the landscape is nothing short of divine. After taking in the stunning scenery, descend gradually into the Imja Khola Valley, crossing through Chhukung before arriving in Dingboche. This peaceful village will be your overnight stop. Overnight stay in Dingboche.
Today will be a relatively easier day as you descend through lush rhododendron forests. The trail will lead you through a picturesque valley, gradually bringing you to the serene village of Tyangboche. This peaceful spot is home to the famous Tyangboche Monastery, where you can admire beautiful Buddhist art and immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere. From here, you’ll also enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including the iconic Ama Dablam. Overnight stay in Tyangboche.
After breakfast, start your descent toward Phunkethanga, a tranquil village surrounded by nature. Continue through lush forests as you cross the Dudh Koshi River, enjoying stunning views along the way. After crossing the river, you’ll begin the ascent to Sanasa. From there, you’ll pass through Namche Bazaar and continue your trek, finally reaching Monjo for the night. Overnight stay in Monjo.
After breakfast, you will begin your trek back to Lukla, where your journey first began two weeks ago. This will be a joyful and reflective day as you complete your trek. While it’s bittersweet to leave the majestic landscapes behind, the memories you’ve created will stay with you for a lifetime.
